Frequently Asked Questions
Questions regarding our Fun Casino operations
The use of Real Money - Can I win real money?
Prizes from all Fun Casinos must be trivial (a bottle of bubbly, box of chocolates, etc). The UK Gambling Commission does not allow the transaction of real money over Fun Casino tables.
Real Croupiers? (“Dealers”)
Always! All our croupiers hold valid licences from the Gambling Commission, which includes DBS checks as part of the licensing process. In certain circumstances, we may supply croupiers who do not hold active PFLs (due to no longer working in the Casino industry), in such cases, we ensure the individual is known to us, has relevant Casino Croupier experience, and is considered suitable for the role.
The quality of your equipment?
How does the fun money work?
Our equipment is Casino-grade and well thought out. We’re all very fussy Croupiers! We use quality Plastic playing cards, weighted and customised playing chips (all given values like a real casino), a genuine Cammeigh Roulette Wheel, and custom branded speed cloths (the purple layouts), which are also casino quality.
We tailor this to each event. We’ll work out a set number of Fun Money notes per player based on your number of guests (usually 2-3 notes per player). We may personally hand these to guests while they arrive or while they dine. Alternatively, we may have a member of venue staff do this, or in circumstances where this doesn’t seem appropriate due to arrival times - The bar will be handed the fun money and distribute it with drinks.
We also have a Maximum buy-in in place: 2 Fun Money notes per transaction. This keeps the competition fair and prevents guests from saving large amounts and placing them all on even-chance bets, essentially guaranteeing a prize. We want to encourage people to play and experience the games properly.
Is the Fun Casino suitable for Children?
Typically, no. We don’t cater for events aimed at under-18s. Children may play the games only with a parent or guardian present. Casino games are fun and exciting, but they are still fun casino-style games, and we want to send the right message. Playing for fun money is still playing for chance, and the odds can be frustrating for young children.
I don’t know how to play?
Fantastic! You’re our favourite type of people. Teaching beginners is the love of our job! All of our croupiers are selected because they’re friendly, love to teach, and enjoy entertaining. We also have guides available on our website if you’d like a head start. Additionally, these are printed as roller banners and supplied with each table (venue space required).
Insurance and PAT Testing?
We have public liability insurance, and all of our equipment is battery-operated. Yes—even our fabulous light-up roulette wheel doesn’t need to be plugged into the mains! This makes us ideal for almost any venue space.
